شرح المفردات الصعبة:
- نكبته: مصيبته أو محنته.
- حُثالة: أسوأ ما تبقى من الشيء، ويُقصد بها هنا أسوأ الناس.
- قاءَها الزمن: لفظها الزمن أو طرحها كما يُطرح الشيء غير المرغوب فيه.
الشرح والأسلوب والعاطفة:
هذه الأبيات تعبر عن إحساس عميق بالخذلان والاغتراب، حيث كان الشاعر يمتلك وطنًا يشعر نحوه بالانتماء والبكاء على محنته، لكنه اليوم بات بلا وطن ولا مأوى. وما زاد من ألمه أنه لم يجد في بلاده إلا من يعتبرهم “حثالة الناس”، أي أنهم لا يمثلون القيم والأخلاق التي كان يعرفها. الأسلوب هنا شديد اللهجة، يجمع بين الرثاء والاحتجاج، والعاطفة المسيطرة هي الحزن العميق ممزوج بالسخط واليأس.
